Seeking Friends in a Tall World

My name is Kyah, and I am a 23-year-old single woman with spina bifida. I walk with leg braces. I am Protestant and a political conservative. I am 4'8", and would love to make friends with other short adults of both genders. Although I would like to get married some day, I am not looking to begin an immediate romance. My Myers-Briggs personality type is ISTJ-- as an introvert, I enjoy quietly spending time with loved ones as much or more as I like larger gatherings. I lived in Alaska during much of my childhood, and I love salmon, wild blueberries, wild mushrooms, and snow! My interests include reading, writing fiction, cooking, technology, music, cinema, languages, and learning about other cultures. Although I tolerate pets, I don't aspire to coexisting with a large dog. I look forward to meeting friends in my height range and someday finding the perfect gentleman with whom I can dance while gazing into his eyes, not looking at his stomach!

Idea of funI enjoy spending time indoors and outdoors. Time spent quietly at home can be just as fun as going on a big shopping trip or seeing a movie. I love visiting libraries and bookstores. Going out to eat is fun, but only one of the things I like to do. I also enjoy theater, coffee shops, and browsing pet stores.

Look for in a partnerI am seeking a Christian gentleman who shares my wish to begin our relationship through friendship. I want to work together to decide how quickly to move forward with our relationship, and I want to find a gentleman who will treasure and respect me, honoring my opinions as he leads us in a Godly way. I want to find a gentleman who will value my leadership abilities and accept my ideas, and who will be loving and courteous if he feels he must make a decision I don't prefer. I also want to find a gentleman who is open to the possibility of not having children-- we will decide together someday. My goal is that my future husband will look forward to working together with a Christian feminist.
On the first dateI have never dated before. It would be lovely if a first "date" came after several "non-dates." I would want to establish a friendship with a gentleman and feel confident that we should begin to court before we started. A first romantic date could be anything from going out for coffee to sharing a meal at a restaurant to enjoying a home-cooked meal at one of our homes. I would want to establish a solid friendship with a gentleman before inviting him into my home to spend time alone together.
